National Spring Holiday – International Nowruz Day to be Widely Celebrated in the Country

Turkmenistan has prepared a comprehensive program of cultural events to mark International Nowruz Day — the National Spring Holiday. The main celebrations will take place on March 21–22 at the "Nowruz ýaýlasy" site in the Ahal region. Additionally, thematic exhibitions and festive concerts will be organized in front of the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" buildings in all regions of the country, as reported by the "Turkmenistan: Altyn Asyr" online news outlet. On March 16 at 3:00 PM, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan will host the opening of an exhibition titled "Gelse Nowruz äleme." The exhibition will feature fascinating insights into the centuries-old traditions of Nowruz, specifically focusing on "semeni," a traditional dish that symbolizes rebirth and the renewal of nature. Furthermore, from March 17 to 19, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan will host an exhibition dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET). This event aims to showcase the economic achievements of the country’s private sector and its potential in import-substituting production. The capital's theaters have also prepared special festive repertoires for the audience.
