🐼 First panda cub of the year born in China
Another joyful event has been recorded in the family of giant pandas, which have become a global symbol of nature conservation and biodiversity. The first giant panda cub of this year was born at the Wolun Shenshupin Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Sichuan Province. This was reported by THP.
The long-awaited event, which brought great joy to the global ecological community, took place on June 4. Currently, the young mother named En En and her newborn cub are doing excellently. Experts at the center have provided them with round-the-clock monitoring and the highest standard of care.
Giant pandas are under strict protection and are rightfully considered a national treasure of China. The cubs of these animals are born extremely vulnerable, blind, and weigh only 100–150 grams. This is exactly why the latest success of the Wolun Shenshupin Base specialists in breeding and conserving these rare bamboo bears was welcomed with immense joy by experts worldwide.
