Ecological well-being: "OSCE Model" — a new experience for students
On April 13–14, 2026, the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat organized the "OSCE Model" for Turkmen students, focusing on climate change and security issues.
The event served as a practical platform for studying OSCE diplomatic principles and the consensus-based decision-making process. During the seminar, participants analyzed the impact of environmental changes on security and strengthened their skills in international negotiations and reaching compromises.
In his speech, William Leaf, Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, emphasized: "Youth are key drivers of change. For climate solutions to be sustainable, the active involvement of the younger generation in this process is essential."
Approximately 25 young activists from the country's leading universities participated in the simulation: the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International oil and gas university, and the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University.
