Eco-festival "Green future: Let's protect nature together" held in Dashoguz

On April 29, 2025, secondary school No. 26 with advanced instruction in English, chemistry, and biology in the city of Dashoguz hosted the eco-festival "Green Future: Let's Protect Nature Together." The event was held within the framework of implementing UNESCO's long-term Greening Education Partnership program and the "Global Action Days" initiative. It was jointly organized by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the "Young Naturalist" public organization.

The festival aimed to foster an ecological culture among young people, explain the importance of waste sorting and recycling, and encourage participation in joint environmental projects.

The school's students demonstrated their responsible attitude toward the environment through drawings, creative crafts, and items made from recycled materials. The youth also showed their skills in building birdhouses and preparing national dishes. Representatives of the organization expressed their gratitude to the school administration and teachers for their contribution to organizing the event at a high level. At the conclusion of the eco-festival, encouraging gifts were presented to the actively participating students and teachers.
