Presentation of the updated "Climate box" held in Ashgabat
The updated version of the interactive educational toolkit, "Climate Box," was officially launched in Ashgabat. This event marked the conclusion of the UNDP regional project aimed at advancing environmental education in Turkmenistan. The 2026 edition has been specially adapted by experts to reflect the country's national context.
Funded by the Russian Federation, the project is now available in over 15 languages, serving as a global platform for both teachers and students. During the presentation, Narine Sahakyan (UNDP Resident Representative) and Ivan Volynkin (Ambassador of the Russian Federation) emphasized that investing in environmental education for youth is the key to addressing the climate challenges of the future.

The educational materials have already been officially handed over to the Ministry of Education and will soon be available in classrooms across the country.
