A sustainable future: Shaping ecological culture in children

Cultivating an ecological culture and a mindful attitude toward the environment from early childhood is the cornerstone of a sustainable society. Guided by this vital goal, the "Young Naturalist" public organization has successfully concluded a large-scale eco-campaign titled "Geliň, tebigaty bilelikde goralyň" ("Let’s Protect Nature Together"). Implemented throughout 2025, this initiative reached nearly fifty preschools and secondary schools across the capital.

The organization's specialists made weekly visits to kindergartens and schools, taking young children on interactive journeys through the fascinating world of nature. During these engaging sessions, toddlers and primary school students learned about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and treating flora and fauna with care, all presented in an accessible and entertaining format.

The most practical and vibrant highlight of the project was the distribution of colorful coloring books, also titled "Geliň, tebigaty bilelikde goralyň," with a print run of about one thousand copies. By bringing their imaginations to life and coloring various landscapes, the children harmoniously reinforced their newfound ecological knowledge through hands-on practice. Through creativity, the young participants did not just experience the beauty of the green world—they came to understand that protecting nature is everyone's noble duty.

This creative eco-campaign marks a highly effective and meaningful step toward fostering environmental consciousness in the younger generation from their very earliest years.
