A large-scale environmental action for children was held on the Caspian coast

On August 10, a festive eco-educational event dedicated to Caspian Sea Day was successfully held in the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone. The action was organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the "Young Naturalist" public organization.

The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, alongside the participation of specialists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense.

Engaging lectures on Caspian biodiversity and the importance of preserving the marine ecosystem were conducted for children spending their holidays at the "Dayanch" and "Arzuv" centers. The children also learned key water safety rules, fire safety regulations, and first aid basics.

A highlight of the program was the interactive quest "Defenders of the Caspian," a creative workshop, and an introduction to modern environmental monitoring methods. The initiative marked an important step in promoting environmental culture and strengthening the green movement among the youth of Turkmenistan.
